The Storm Cardigan is an oversized cardigan with texture, a high collar, and a zipper.

Construction

The sweater is worked top-down, allowing for easy customization of body and sleeve lengths to suit your body. The pattern provides instructions for both knitting in the round and seaming, as well as for knitting back and forth. The zipper can be attached either by hand or with a sewing machine.

Begin by knitting the back piece, then pick up stitches for each shoulder. The shoulders are worked individually with increases to shape the neckline. Next, knit the shoulders and front piece, then set aside stitches on each side of the front and back pieces to form the beginnings of the sleeves. The body is then knit in the round or back and forth. The sleeves and ribbed collar at the neckline are knit from the picked-up stitches.
